General Options

The General Options window is available by clicking on the "Options" button of the Image Conversion page of the main window.  Here you can modify PicSwitcher's behavior to your liking.

The first two options at the top allow you to specify the default output folder when saving converted images.  To the far right you can specify the size of the image cache, which is an area of memory which keeps copies of recently used images for faster retrieval later.

You can also specify the post- conversion options.  To the right of this you can set the delays used when loading and redrawing images.

The Image Overwrite mode can be set here as well.  When set to "Ask Before Overwriting" multiple different options for handling the name conflict are provided.

If you have a favorite image editing program, you can specify its location under "Image Editing Application" which allows you to open pictures from PicSwitcher in that application.  (Right-click on an image in the image list for this option).

Lastly, you can tell PicSwitcher to preserve the original file date when saving and converting images.  When this image is turned off the current time and date is used instead.
