Hi
i´ve been trying to sync my outlook express between my desktop and laptop which are permanently connected via DSL home network. I just would like to open my outloox express in either machine and find the exact same contents in the inbox, sent, deleted etc. folders. I have found that this can be done quite easily by copyng the dbx folders from one machine to another but when i try to do it with fileback i get (files already in use, access denied). The faq section in fileback mentions something about this problem and offers two solutions (open file manager and send message to close open files) but i don´t quite understand how they work.

The procedure i have been following is quite straightforward: sync between the outlook express folders(where the dbx´s are kept) in both machines. Do i really need the above mentioned workaround or is there an easier way? am i doing something wrong altogether?
Thanks in advance

In order to get this to work you will have to make sure Outlook Express is not running on EITHER machine at the time the sync should be done. This could be very tricky.

My suggestion is to disable all of the automatic backup options for this backup entry: turn off all "Run at ..." options. You will then need to manually shutdown Outlook Express and start the backup on your own. One easy way to start the backup would be with a keyboard shortcut.

The 'send message' method mentioned on the web site would work for shutting down Outlook Express on the PC that is running FileBack PC, but it wouldn't do anything for the other PC. That will still need to be done manually.

I have received an email this morning. I read it and closed. But I opened it again and didn't saw anything. I was afraid and didn't know what to do. But to my good fortune I used the Internet and noticed there - recover deleted outlook express mail. It resolved my issue for a minute and without payment as far as I kept in mind.
