Hello again!

I'm trying to run the cleanup wizard to wipe out all backup files from destination where they no longer exist in source. The only option I select for the cleanup is "Files not found in source folder". However, when I run it, the wizard always finds every single file in the backup as "Orig. gone" even though the vast majority of files are still there.

The actual backup works fine (it doesn't try to recopy all of the files every time), but the cleanup wizard thinks there is nothing in source.

Without this, I cannot clean up my destination folder and am wasting space.

If it's any help, the source is a Linux-based network hard drive and the destination is my Windows 7-based PC hard drive.

Does the backup job itself still point to the correct backup source and destination folders, with all applicable folders included?

Yes, the backup is pointing to the right folders. It runs nightly with no problems and only copies modified files. In other words, it sees the existing backup files fine.

Here is the latest backup log that shows that the backup job itself sees all of the files in the source and destination folders. Just the cleanup wizard doesn't see the source ones:

08-Feb-10 12:01:36a : {J} Backup Job All to HDD Statistics: Files Compared: "24916", Time: "1 min 35.8 sec (260.2 fi/s)", Size: "28.43 GB", Folders: "1831" "(19.1 fdr/s)", Files Copied: "61" (Size: "70.69 MB"), Time: "13.8 sec (5236.4 KB/s)", Data copied: "70.69 MB", Files Deleted: "0" (Size: "0 bytes"), Files Archived: "0" (Size: "0 bytes"), Error Count: "0" [55245804]

Thanks.

I really wish the support staff in this place did something more than throw out one suggestion and then give up and ignore me when that doesn't work. This is a very frustrating problem for me.
